NIMAX TL series - external chrome plated inside honed (or skived and roller burnished) steel tubes for telescopic cylinders.
Dimensions:
- External by request (according EN 10305-1; EN 10305-2)
- Inside between 32-200 mm
Steel grades:
- St 52.3 BK+S (E 355+SR)
- St 52 BK (E 355+ C)
Tolerance:
- Outside: ISO f8
- Inside: ISO H8 /ISO H9
Roundness:
- Outside: max 1/2 IT
- Inside: max IT
Length: max. 6500 mm
The "unchromed length" of each tube (the distance at each end over which the chrome-layer properties and tolerances can not be guaranteed) is at most 0.15 m per end, maximum 0.3 m in total per tube. Fixed or cut lengths can be supplied on request.
Surfaces roughness:
- Outside: max Ra=0,20 µm

- max Ra=0.60 µm (for honed tubes)
- max Ra=0.30 µm (for skived and roller burnished tubes)
Hard chrome plated thickness: min. 20 µm
Chrome layer hardness: min. 950 HV 0,1
Straightness:
- Local deviation: max. 1 mm per each meter of length

Total deviation:
- for tubes with length less than 6 m - max. 3.5 mm;
- for tubes with length bigger than 6 m, the tolerance shall be increased by 0.5 mm for each 1 m over 6 m.

Packaging
NIMAX TL tubes can be supplied as follow:
- Each tube is individually packaging in cardboard tubes with caracteristic red and white spiral stripes
- Each tube are inside protected with oil in order to assure the temporary protection against corrosion
- Ends of tubes are protected with plastic plugs
- Package on wooden europalets
Marking
For each tube the paper tube will be marked with black colour: "NIMAX TL / OD + Tolerance x ID diameter+Tolerance / Steel grade/ Heat no. / Date"
Where: OD = outside diameter; ID = inside diameter
On each palet they will be applied minimum one label for identification.
