Nickel and chrome plating operations
Products /
We perform nickel and hard chrome plating operations like:
- Our NIMAX 1000 NC and NIMAX 1000 NCT nickel and chrome plated bars and tubes for piston rods that meet and exceed the performance requirements of a wide range of demanding applications.
- Inside chrome plating tubes used in manufacturing of concrete pumps and rotation pumps.
- Reconditioning of piston rods, guiding columns by chrome plating with 25-200 microns chrome layer.
- Nickel-chrome plating for pieces having the following sizes: maximum diameter 300 mm, maximum length 6000 mm and maximum weight/piece 3000 kg. We recommend this type of nickel-chrome plating for marine application (high corrosion hydraulic piston rods).
- Our nickel & chrome piston rods ca be used in a wide range of applications that require a utmost corrosion resistance, for example: in mines, at naval cranes, naval fork lifts. Advantages of the nickel and chrome plated steels.
- Hard chrome plating for pieces with large overall dimensions having the following sizes: maximum diameter 400 mm, maximum length 14 m and maximum weight/piece 10000 kg
- Hard chromium plating for pieces with complex configurations (moulds, extruder ends, levers, catch pins, rolls ...)
- Inside chrome plating for pieces with minimum inside diameter of 30 mm, maximum inside diameter 400 mm, maximum length of the part 4500 mm, maximum weight of the piece 3000 kg
-
- The length/diameter ratio on the interior chrome plating should not exceed: 30
- The maximum coating on the interior chrome plating: 25-100 microns
- Our Quality chroming process result from the combination of two solutions that offer increased corrosion resistance for our chromed steels: high density of micro cracks of chrome layer and multilayer chroming process.
Note: For all these labours of hard chromium plating we do not perform the preparing of the chroming plating surface and neither their polishing after the chromium plating.
We also do not perform chrome plating for parts that have surface defects (corrosion spots, scratches ...). The parts must have metallic and clean surface, respectively a maximum roughness: 0.4 microns Ra.
